WWW Wednesdays 8-9-2017

WWW Wednesdays is a weekly meme that was previously hosted by Should Be Reading and is now hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

To play along you just had to answer the following three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

This week was a pretty light week, but what it lacks in quantity it makes up for in quality.

Recently Finished

Rabbit Cake by Annie Hartnett

I just finished Rabbit Cake by Annie Hartnett on Saturday. It’s a great read, and I have my review of it scheduled for Friday, so be on the look out. It’s the kind of book that makes you laugh and cry.

Currently Reading

What? How the heck did I only finish one book this week, but manage to start four? Well, the answer is quite simple.

I needed a new audiobook last week and I started A Madness So Discreet by Mindy McGinnis. It fits well because it’s a completely different genre than the other books I am reading. So, it’s easy to keep them straight.

The Girl Who Drank the Moon by Kelly Barnhill is a book club book for next week. I am over three-quarters of the way though and I should have it finished tonight or tomorrow. It’s interesting so far and I am curious to see how the multiple story lines converge.

Before I started The Girl Who Drank the Moon, I started The Goddesses by Swan Huntley. I’ve only read a couple chapters, but I plan to pick it back up once I finish The Girl Who Drank the Moon. Hopefully it will be a quick read.

And yes I am still reading Almost Famous Women very slowly!

What Will I Read Next

I am hoping I can finish the above four books in the coming week. If I do, then the next books on my list are The Immortalists by Chloe Benjamin. That’s my first priority, because I need to return the ARC to my local indie.

If I manage to miraculously finish that as well, I will probably read my Round Robin book The Gravity of Us by Brittainy C. Cherry and then move on to The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon. I have a couple of weeks until that meeting, but I want to put it on my radar now.

That wraps up this week’s WWW Wednesday post! What are you reading this week? Anything you think I should check out? Let me know in the comments below.

    1. Thank you! Happy Book Lovers Day to you too! It’s been a month full of reading and that’s how I like it. Plus been kind of a terrible day! Want to curl under the covers with a good book and just relax!
