Back to Hogwarts Cramathon TBR

Back to Hogwarts Cramathon TBR

This is one of those moments when I think to myself, man I must be crazy! Crescent Moon Reads is hosting a 24 readathon called the Back to Hogwarts Cramathon! Of course, the first thing I thought of was the opening number to A Very Potter Musical.

It starts on Saturday, August 18th at midnight in your time zone and then goes for a full 24-hours until midnight on Sunday, August 19th. There will be challenges and you can accrue points towards a mini house cup. I will be participating as a Slytherin.

And yet, it seems ridiculous committing to this because I just posted about my insane reading goals for the next week or so. Plus, the last time I signed up for a readathon with a thin book, it ended up being something that I had to sit back and think about for a good long while after I was done.

But regardless, here is what I hope to read for the Cramathon!

1. Disasters in the First World by Olivia Clare

This is a book of short stories, and it’s not super long (192 pages) so I think that I can finish it in a day.

2. All Things Bright and Strange by James Makert

This is a book that I got off of NetGalley last week that comes out in January. The description reminds me a bit of The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly. I remember reading several years ago and loving it, so I am hoping that I enjoy this one just as much.

3. Our Souls at Night by Kent Haruf

I didn’t get to this during Booktube-a-thon but I am still interested in reading it. It’s a really short, really small book, so I am hoping that I can maybe read this in the day and use it to break up the digital ARCs I’ve been reading.

4. The Butcher Boy by Patrick McCabe

This is another book that looks really good and has been on my TBR forever! It’s hard to describe because when you look at the copy of it, there’s really not a synopsis on the back, just lots of glowing praise. Again, it isn’t super long and its print. So I am adding this to the list with the intention of giving my eyes a break.

So this is my intended TBR pile. It may change as the week goes on. If you want to sign up for the Back to Hogwarts Cramathon you can find out more about it here
