WWW Wednesdays 8-30-2017.jpg

WWW Wednesdays is a weekly meme that was previously hosted by Should Be Reading and is now hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

To play along you just had to answer the following three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

This week has been productive!

Recently Finished

In a bizarre turn of events,  I managed to finish one book and two audiobooks. I finished The Sun is Also a Star for a book club last night, and then I ended up listening to Where’d You Go Bernadette while I had a headache that resulted from a traffic jam in town. (Seriously, there was no signage until I got to a turn-off so then I had to back track! No other signage! It’s a good thing this book was funny!

Over the weekend I started listening to Black-Eyed Susans by Julia Heaberlin. This was a relisten for me because I have been wanting to review it but so much time has passed that I couldn’t remember how it ends. Fortunately, it was addictive enough that I was able to finish it quickly.

Currently Reading

I am currently reading three things right now. The first is See What I Have Done by Sarah Schmidt. I am enjoying it, but every time I pick it up they’re talking about pears, which then just makes me hungry for pears! So it’s been slow-going and I am about a quarter of the way through it.

I ended up picking up No One Knows by J.T. Ellison in an attempt to combat a reading slump! I was hoping the short chapters would help, but it turns out I was more compelled to listen this week.

Last night I started Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk. I picked this as the next audiobook mostly because it is short, only about six hours. I am already a few hours in after getting somewhat lost on my way home last night. I hope to finish this before the weekend. (Bonus: I actually own the movie and I’ve only watched it once during a hurricane that hit the northeast about five or six years ago. So it may be time to revisit that too.)

What I Plan on Reading Next

I am in the process of making my September TBR list but there are a few books I think I will read next.

Indelible by Adelia Saunders is still on my list and I think I am particularly drawn to that right now. I have been saying I want to read it for a month and I think it’s finally time to step up to the plate.

If I can finish the two books I am reading, I want to start Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult, but I fully expect that book to take me a while to read because I am sure I am going to have some feelings.

I also want to try to read Spoiler Alert: The Hero Dies by Michael Ausiello. This book comes out September 12th, and I have an ARC, but I think that it just looks like a great read.

That’s it for this week’s WWW Wednesday! What are you reading this week? Have you read any of the books on my list?
